About Panamera 971 MK2 (2021-2023)

In 2021, the Panamera received another refresh while remaining part of the second generation, the 971.2 Panamera. This update included a redesigned front fascia with a new bumper and lower apron. At the rear, a revamped light strip ran seamlessly across the trunk lid, featuring a new contour and updated LED taillights.

Porsche also introduced a non-hybrid Turbo S variant, equipped with the turbo's 4.0ltr twin-turbo V8, now producing 621hp and 605 lb-ft of torque. As before, all Panamera models came with a PDK dual-clutch transmission, which was upgraded from seven to eight speeds. With this update, nearly all models were available in the Gran Turismo, long-wheelbase Executive, and Sport Turismo body styles.

Porsche introduced the second-generation Panamera for the 2017 model year, significantly enhancing its design and technology. The new Panamera featured a wider, lower, and sleeker profile, replacing its previously awkward hunchbacked look with a sportier and more elegant appearance. This exterior makeover was complemented by a completely reimagined interior, boasting touch-sensitive surfaces and large display screens.

The development of the second-generation Panamera (G2) included multiple variants: the standard Gran Turismo with both standard and extended wheelbases, and a third variant called the Sport Turismo, a 5-door shooting-brake estate variant, all built on the same platform.

Performance improvements were significant across all models, thanks to advanced chassis systems like the three-chamber air suspension, rear-axle steering, and the PDCC Sport electromechanical roll stabilization system. These enhancements solidified the Panamera's position as the leading performance four-door sedan on the market.
