The Cayenne S model of the 955 is powered by a 4.5ltr V8 engine featuring a wet-sump lubrication system and variable valve timing. This engine produces 335hp (250kW; 340 PS) and 310 lb⋅ft (420 N⋅m) of torque, enabling the Cayenne S to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph (0 to 97 km/h) in 6.9 seconds, with a top speed of 150 mph (241 km/h).
The Porsche Cayenne is a series of luxury crossover SUVs manufactured by the German company Porsche since 2002. Described as both a full-sized and a mid-sized vehicle, the first generation was known internally as the Type 9PA (955) or E1. It marked Porsche's return to V8 engines after the discontinuation of the Porsche 928 in 1995 and was the company's first off-road variant since the Super and Junior tractors of the 1950s. It also became Porsche's first four-door model. Since 2014, the Cayenne has been sold alongside the smaller Porsche SUV, the Macan.
