The Porsche 992 marks the eighth iteration of the legendary Porsche 911 sports car, internally designated as such. Unveiled at the Porsche Experience Center in Los Angeles on November 27, 2018, the 992 generation boasted enhancements in size, speed, and digital integration. As the latest chapter in the evolution of the world's most iconic sports car, the 992 maintains fidelity to its lineage while propelling the Porsche 911 into the future.
The initial models to hit the scene were the Carrera S and Carrera 4S, equipped with a potent 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged flat-6 engine. Following shortly after were the Carrera S and Carrera 4S Cabriolet variants, with the base Carrera and Carrera 4 joining the lineup in mid-2019. Porsche then introduced the Targa models in May 2020, powered by the same 3.0-liter engine found in the Carrera 4 and 4S, all featuring the distinctive widebody design that now characterizes the entire range.
By mid-2021, Porsche had unveiled the comprehensive GTS lineup, comprising five models known for their meticulous specifications, nearly perfect straight from the factory. Topping off the regular model range are the 911 Turbo and Turbo Cabriolet, boasting an impressive 572 hp and the assured stability of all-wheel drive.
