Every car has its weak points, and although the Boxster and 996 has very few, one of the items to keep an eye on is the coolant recovery tank. Over time it becomes brittle and has a tendency to crack and leak coolant into the rear trunk area in the Boxster. A simple preventative measure is to replace your tank with a OE MATCH recovery tank.
