The second generation of the Porsche Cayenne made its debut at the 2010 Geneva Motor Show, marking a significant leap forward from its predecessor with an evolved design and notable enhancements. The Cayenne Turbo was powered by a robust 4.8ltr V8 engine delivering 500 hp. A noteworthy change in the transmission system was the removal of the low-range transfer case for the 2010 Cayenne, with the standard transmission being an 8-speed Tiptronic gearbox. Additionally, all-wheel drive came standard. Various improvements throughout the vehicle resulted in a reduction of overall weight by 180kg (400lbs).
The Cayenne Turbo facelift debuted in 2014 as a 2015 model year, representing an upgraded iteration of its predecessor. While it provided identical torque to the non-facelifted Cayenne Turbo S, it delivered slightly less power. However, the revised engine under the hood offered 20hp more than its predecessor. The exterior of the 2015 Cayenne received enhancements with sharper design elements and clear lines. Completely new front fenders, grille, and headlights featuring LEDs contributed to its refreshed appearance.
